This is a bit of a strange one! You can now get HD texture packs for 8-Bit NES games which are patched while running the original NES ROMS on the NES emulator Mesen.

You can find a whole bunch of HD Texture packs below which were on St1ka’s YouTube video. You will still need the original ROM file, these are just the packs you run with them.
