Analogue have finally announced that the Analogue Duo, will be available for preorder for $249.99 on May 19th and ship this year. It is a FPGA console for PC Engine /TurboGrafx Hucard’s and CD’s, a bit like the Turbo Duo console

Analogue Duo Features

The Analogue Duo will be in two colours representing the USA and Japanese White and Black models of the Duo. It uses FPGA instead of emulation running Analogue OS. It will be able to play original TurboGrafx-16, PC Engine, SuperGrafx, TurboGrafx CD, PC Engine CD-ROM² and Super Arcade CD-ROM² games for the PC Engine. I would also imagine this would extend to flash carts such as the Turbo Everdrive Pro. It does have a SD card slot used for firmware updating so we might see the possibility of loading games from that.

According to the website, it will support output to 480P/720P/1080P which is great as you wont need a upscaler device to play on a modern TV. It will have built in Bluetooth and 2.4g for connecting wireless controllers such as the 8BitDo, who have a PC Engine style controller. Up to four controllers are supported and no receivers are required. You can also plug in original wired controllers via the custom port or modern controllers via the two USB ports if you prefer.
